From my 27 dresses project for my daughters summer wardrobe. I took inspiration from Wienerdog tricks dress tutorial for a patternless and almost measureless dress. Id like to make one for myself.

 

 

Patternless baby dress tutorial

I have made a few changes to one of the two dresses i made but thats due to the fact i misjudged and had to make one of the bodices shorter. I still have to hem the long one and i haven't put straps on them yet but the one on the left will have thick chunky straps and the one on the right will have spaghetti straps.

What makes this project so much better is that fact i picked up this material from the op shop for $3 and there is still enough left over to make a scarf for my mum.

One obsession i have is with aprons, i love how they look, i love how practical they are and i love the old fashioned feel i get when i tie one on and bake. It just feels right. Like i should have my make up and hair perfect, a smile on my face and dinner on the table at 5 every nite. Well anyone who knows me knows perfect and me don't mix let alone dinner ready in time for my man to come home.

Its probably the ideal house wife image i have stored in my brain that wants to come to the surface but has never manage to survive long outside my brain.

The aprons at Cupcake Provocateur are dreamy tho at $38.99 plus postage you can imagine why i went on the search for a pattern of my own.

Which lead me to susanbranch.com and her darling free pattern and step by step instructions which are practically identical.  I followed the detailed instructions and made myself a purple version of the above apron which i think turned out beautifully - will post pics as soon as i find my camera.
